POLYPROPYLENE (PP) - A most underestimated choice of plastic. It is resistant to a vast amount of inorganic acids and alkalis and a much better choice for contaminated fluids than fluoropolymers. Damaged parts from PP can we repair welded and the material is among the most economic choices when it comes to pump manufacturing.

POLYETHYLENE (PE-UHMW) - With its Ultra High Molecular Weight this material is not only resistant to many inorganic acid such as FSA, HCl and HF but also the best choice when it comes to heavy loads of solids. The long polymer chains make it hard for particles to attack the material structure. This is why PE-UHMW (aka PE1000) outperforms almost all metal alloys.

POLYVINYLIDENEFLUORIDE (PVDF) - For mixed acids and elevated temperatures PVDF offers a bit of both worlds: the corrosion resistance of a fluoropolymer and the wear resistance of a polyolefine.

PERFLUORALCOXY (PFA) - The master of corrosion resistance and temperature endurance. Note that Munsch is using PFAS- free material.

The pump manufacturing here at MUNSCH starts from the plastic powder. We put great efforts into moulding, tools development and other production techniques. Today, the carbon footprint of a MUNSCH pump is less than half of what it used to be a decade ago.
